Pest Control

One of the drawbacks of outdoor life is the seemingly endless array of pests that you have to deal with. Gardens and yards are no exception to these critters. Pests come in all sizes and types - though we won't include your neighbors among them. Most garden pests come in the form of insects, but we can include birds, squirrels, moles, mice, rats, raccoons, cats, and I guess just about anything else that is a nuisance and destroys your property. If there is anything good about pests, it's the fact that you can usually control them. There are various chemicals, zappers and traps that will help you deal with unwanted visitors. Some of these chemicals will kill insects, but you should only do so when absolutely necessary and you should never kill an animal. Many pesticides are dangerous to your health and the environment so you should check your local bylaws concerning which types can be used.
