Outdoor Hot Tubs & Spas
Hot tubs are often called spas and they are becoming popular outdoor attractions. A hot tub is basically a larger version of a whirlpool tub. You sit in the tub and hydrotherapy jets propel streams of hot water and air bubbles for a massaging effect. Most hot tubs operate on pumps and motors, and are designed to hold numerous people. Most have seating areas around the sides and corners. Many also have arm rests and drink holders. Hot tubs are quite large and hold a few hundred gallons of water that needs to be treated with chemicals to keep it clean. Tub shells come in different materials, but acrylic is the most popular. The outer cabinets are usually covered with wood and the tub should come with a cover to protect it. Most people place their hot tub in a covered area or a gazebo. They're also common attachments to swimming pools. Spas usually start at a few thousand dollars online.
