You can have the most beautiful yard and garden on the block, but it won't last long if you don't take proper care of it by irrigating. All living parts of your garden need water. That includes the fish ponds, grass, plants, flowers, trees, shrubs, etc. You can water your garden by simply attaching a hose or sprinkler to your faucet, but there are more attractive and creative ways of doing it. One idea is to use various types of watering cans or ornamental sprinklers shaped like animals and plants to irrigate. You can also use ornamental statues or fountains to irrigate. You simply attach your hose to the ornaments and they will take care of sprinkling your garden. If you have a very large yard you may need to lay an irrigation system consisting of several pipes, hoses and sprinklers. These can be operated by a timer. Watering your garden may cost quite a bit, depending on how much rainfall your area experiences. An economical way of collecting water is with a rain barrel.
