Bypass doors are ingenious space-savers. Bypass doors, or folding doors, slide to one side like an accordion to allow full access to a doorway where space doesn't allow for a swinging door. Bypass doors are typically found on closets in small bedrooms or closets behind entry doors. Bypass doors are made of stiff plastic or vinyl so that they slide and collapse easily. They are pushed or pulled open by a stiff plastic grip handle and they remain closed thanks to a magnetic clasp on either side of the folding door and the wall frame. Bypass doors start at $50 online.
